Today it's my favorite city: Toronto
I have been to other big cities, but nothing quite compares, at least in my eyes.
It's clean, fun, I have never felt unsafe there and the people are (mostly) friendly.
It's a different mentality in Canada compared to the US. Generally, people are interested in having a conversation and are usually helpful. The news is a lot less focused on politics, and more on interesting stories. Actually, there is quite a bit about the US on the news. Oh, and Justin Bieber. Haha.
There is so much to do and see, and there is ALWAYS something going on. I think it's impossible to be bored downtown.
I also went there for New Years, and was standing front row in the huge new years bash. Let me tell you...the Canadians know how to ring in the new year! It was a blast.
So guys, what is your favorite city?
i love canada so much! and you are right you just notice how different it is in canada than in the us by the way people are
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to go to Toronto, but I never have. I even bought a pop-up map of it once, but still, never went, hah.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful up here in Vancouver BC. Wouldn't go anywhere else in the world. Followed! alphabetalife.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteFavorite city would have to be Nice, Florence, or Rome.
ReplyDeleteAll are so amazing.
I've only been to Toronto for 6 hours, haha.
I obviously will have to agree since I live here, but outside of Canada, I think Frankfurt is really nice.
ReplyDeleteI've yet to travel much. Never been to Toronto but the skyline is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteChicago...
ReplyDeleteend of conversation...
Never been there but it sounds like a nice city.
ReplyDeleteAlso never been there, would be nice if i had the spare $$$ to travel, but meh.
ReplyDeleteword dude, toronto is where it's at. my fav canadian city
ReplyDeleteNever been to Toronto. I want to go someday :)
ReplyDeleteive spent too much time in big cities, kinda tired of them
ReplyDeletebut even i can admit every now and then, they are breathtaking
Wish i had been to canada. Will probably go some day. =p
ReplyDeleteive never been to toronto. but i love nyc
ReplyDeleteToronto looks like fun
ReplyDeleteI feel that Canada is an extention of New England that doesn't have to deal with American politics and general bullshit. Much of New England is also extremely friendly, and you can leave your vehicles/home unlocked without issue much of the time. During the winter, some people leave their cars running as they go in and shop. In Florida, you ALWAYS lock the door, and ALWAYS lock your car, even if you're running right in to buy a pack of gum or a drink. Such a different atmosphere. Good post, gotta love America's Hat.
ReplyDeleteNever been there. Been close...but not too close.
ReplyDeleteI want poutain
This makes me really want to go to Canada!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely following you now.
ReplyDeleteParis. or japan, but maybe not japan since u know what.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Toronto is an awesome city. However the transit system is making it seem like a second-world city. If only Ford wasn't a jackass entrenched in old views. He has some smart ideas, but needs to realize the benefits of public transit.
ReplyDeleteNever been to Canada, I hear its nice though. So far my favorite city has been Boston.
ReplyDeletereally liked stockholm for the same reasons you listed about toronto when i visited. that pic has amazing reflections, very nice )
ReplyDeleteA lot because I live there :D
ReplyDeleteTo those bashing the mayor, people will be unhappy no matter who is in office, the world hasn't ended yet, get over it.
Otherwise I'm actually sort of surprised that you choose it as your favourite city when personally I find Halifax and to a lesser extent, Vancouver nicer. If you ever get a chance to go out to the east coast, make sure you stop off in Halifax. The weather there is amazing during the summer and the city itself is just so charming. Not as busy though so if that's your thing you should probably stick with Toronto lol.
I've been to Toronto a few times too, and really liked it. Lots to do, for lots of different tastes. The strip clubs are great too!
ReplyDeleteToronto FTW. Awesome city to live in and work.
ReplyDeleteinteresting blog. Will visit daily, so keep up the good work
Haven't been to many big cities, but Toronto is definitely on my list now.
